The Auxiliary is a volunteer civilian organization. Membership is open to any citizen of the United States and its territories and possessions, who is 17 years of age or older. Our basic unit of organization is the Flotilla and there is probably one near you.

Our programs include:
Public Education - Become a qualified instructor and help us get the boating safety message out to all vessel owners and operators. Division 7 has conducted hundreds of classes for power (includes personal watercraft), sail, and non-traditional boaters.
Vessel Examiner - Join the men & women who promote boating safety by giving free vessel safety checks in RI and nearby Massachusetts.
Operations - Take part in any of the Auxiliary's programs assisting local Coast Guard units in search & rescue operations, pollution reporting, aids to navigation, communications, etc.
